Becoming an Agent’s Representative is the first step in starting your real estate career. This important role can lead to various real estate areas including sales and property management.  

Learn more about the Real Estate Industry and enrol in training to become an Agent’s Representative. Presented by industry professionals, iTFE’s four day course will provide you with entry level and nationally accredited units required by the Victorian Business Licensing Authority to start your career in real estate.

Course fee: $518.00

Materials fee: $132.00 (GST included) - Training for Agent’s Representative Resources Kit and additional learning resources included.

Course Outline

The Agent’s Representative course is made up of the following three units of competency leading to a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) upon completion.

  • CPPDSM4080A   Work in the Real Estate Industry
  • CPPDSM4007A   Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Management to complete agency work
  • CPPDSM4008A   Identify Legal & Ethical Requirements of Property Sales to complete agency work

Students are required to complete a written assessment for each unit.

Duration

The course duration is offered over four consecutive days, Monday to Thursday.

The course can also be undertaken 1 day per week (Sundays) over 4 weeks.

This is a comprehensive course and students should expect intensive study modes and after class reading.

Completion of Course

Upon successful completion of the Agent's Representative course and after considered competent in the assessment tasks for the three units, you will be given a Statement of Attainment listing the accredited and nationally recognised units that you have undertaken.

An Agent’s Representative must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Meet the educational requirements prescribed by the Estate Agents (Education) Regulations 2008. This means, successful completion of all three accredited Agent’s Representative units within the last five years.

A person is prohibited in becoming an Agent’s Representative if:

  • They have been found guilty of any offence involving fraud, dishonesty, drug trafficking or violence punishable by three months or more imprisonment (whether or not a jail term was imposed), within the last 10 years.
  • They have been an insolvent under administration which includes:
    • A person who is an undischarged bankrupt
    •  A person who has executed a deed of arrangement under Part X of the Bankruptcy Act 1966
    • A person whose creditors have accepted a composition under Part X of the Bankruptcy Act 1966
    • A person who has made a debt agreement under Part X of the Bankruptcy Act 1966
  • They are the cause of a successful claim against the Victorian Property Fund or a corresponding fund
  • They are a represented person under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986
  • They are subject to a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal declaration making you ineligible to act as an Agent’s Representative
  • They are subject to an order by any regulatory body in or outside Victoria, disqualifying you from acting as an Agent’s Representative
